Anchorage Trolley Tour
Tour Details
Would you like to discover Anchorage’s history, culture, and most popular stories in a unique way? Then let’s meet at the entrance to Tequila 61 restaurant, located at 445 W 4th Ave, and set off on an entertaining trolley tour of Alaska’s largest city.
Aboard a red trolley, we’ll enjoy a ride through Anchorage that will take us to the city’s must-see spots. During the 20-minute tour, we’ll make stops so you can get off the trolley and take photos. Plus, the onboard guide will share stories and anecdotes about Anchorage.
The trolley tour will take us to Earthquake Park, where we’ll go back in time to 1964 to learn about the devastating consequences Anchorage suffered after that earthquake.
From there, we’ll head to Lake Hood, where we’ll be treated to the iconic sight of seaplanes landing on the water. We’ll also visit Ship Creek, a perfect spot for fishing for salmon and anglerfish. If we’re lucky, we might even see fishermen in action!
Afterward, the tram will take us to Point Woronzof, a lookout point offering one of the best panoramic views of Anchorage. On clear days, it’s even possible to spot Mount Denali, the tallest mountain in North America. As you’d expect, we’ll also spot moose in their natural habitat—this is one of the best places in Alaska for wildlife viewing.
Finally, after a hike lasting between 1.5 hours and 2 hours, we'll return to the starting point and wrap up the activity.
