Tour the city of Sighisoara on this day trip from Brasov. Walk through its colourful streets and discover the story of Prince Vlad Dracul, who inspired Bram Stoker to create the character of Dracula.
We'll start our tour in the centre of Brasov and hop on a bus to Saschiz, a small historic town where we'll discover the history of the Transylvanian region.
Later we'll travel to Sighisoara, the city of Dracula and one of the best examples of medieval architecture in Europe. Its colourful alleyways and small traditional houses look like something off a postcard!
There we'll visit the house of Vlad Dracul, also known as Vlad the Impaler, the historical character who inspired Bram Stoker to create the character of Count Dracula.
We'll also pass the Clock Tower, where the History Museum is located, and the Church on the Hill, both with entrance fees included.
Later, you'll have free time to enjoy the Romanian gastronomy. At the end of the meal, you'll have some time to explore this city of legends and mysteries at your leisure.
On the way back to Brasov we'll stop at the Rupea Citadel, an ancient medieval fortress where we'll be able to enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the Transylvanian landscape.
We'll arrive at the initial meeting point in Brasov at around 5 pm.
