Contrasts of Las Palmas Tour
We'll meet in the plaza de Cairasco to start getting to know the different sides of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. During the route, we'll combine walking with other journeys by public transport so that you'll feel like true locals.
First, we'll get on a bus that will take us to the Polvorín area, a humble neighbourhood located next to the Mata ravine. We will talk about the intense urban development changes that have taken place in this area in recent decades as we pass through Altavista. Did you know that this is one of the best viewpoints in the capital of Gran Canaria?
After walking through the neighbourhoods, we'll arrive at the Las Canteras beach. While we relax in the sea breeze, we'll see the exterior of the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, a perfect opportunity to review the important legacy of this famous tenor.
Once again, we'll board a public bus to tour the Puerto de la Luz area and head to the San Telmo Park, where the northern wall of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria used to be located.
The time has come to tour the Triana district, one of the most visited areas of the capital. We'll enjoy its colonial architecture and remember its links with one of the most famous sailors of all times by visiting the Alameda de Colón square.
The free tour will end arriving at the meeting point.
The free tour doesn't allow reservations for more than 6 people. If you're a larger group, you must book a private tour of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
