Ready to discover the most visited monument in Spain? We'll meet at the designated time near the Alhambra to begin our small group tour, the best way to get to know this remarkable complex without the crowds.
We'll first head to the Generalife, a villa adjoining the palace complex known for its beautiful gardens, with their flowerbeds, channels, and fountains whose sound creates a real haven of calm.
We'll continue through the Medina, where the nobles, officials, and senior religious figures of the Nasrid court once lived. As we walk through this area, we'll learn what daily life was like back then while taking in the remains of the public baths, workshops, houses, and other spaces.
Of course, we'll also visit the Palace of Charles V, a majestic Renaissance building commissioned by the emperor himself. Did you know he spent his honeymoon with Isabella of Portugal at the Alhambra?
After uncovering the secrets of this palace, we'll head to the Alcazaba, the Alhambra's old military fortress. We'll take in the remains of this 13th-century citadel and see its most notable towers, including the Torre de las Armas, the Torre de la Pólvora, and the Torre de la Vela. From the latter, we'll enjoy extraordinary panoramic views over Granada and the Sierra Nevada.
Finally, after a walk lasting between 2 and 3 hours, the tour comes to an end in the Alcazaba area.
