We'll begin our guided tour of Guanajuato in front of the majestic Teatro Juárez, an architectural landmark of the city.
From there, we'll walk to Plaza Allende, where we'll admire the famous sculptures of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. Along the way, we'll pass by monuments and buildings of great significance, such as the Casa del Intendente Riaño, the home associated with the renowned artist Jorge Negrete, the historic Puente del Campanero (Bell-ringer's Bridge), and the lively Jardín de la Unión.
Next, we'll descend into the unique underground street, one of Guanajuato's most surprising urban gems. There, you'll see the plaques commemorating the flood of 1905 and discover how the city managed to adapt to its complex geography.
Back on the surface, we'll pass by Callejón del Truco, the City Hall, and the imposing Basílica Colegiata de Nuestra Señora de Guanajuato, continuing toward the steps of the University of Guanajuato and the iconic Diego Rivera House.
Of course, we'll make an essential stop at the world-famous Callejón del Beso (Alley of the Kiss), the setting of a tragic local love legend, before ending the tour in front of the iconic Alhóndiga de Granaditas, a key site during the Mexican War of Independence.
