The activity is fantastic, I recommend everyone do it. The Bike Maipú staff explained everything very well and provided us with a map. We received a discount from Bike Maipú at some wineries. When we returned the bikes, they still didn't offer any wine without a discount.

Maipú Bike Rental

This self-guided tour is your best chance to explore the famous Maipú Wine Route—and the most fun way to do it! On the day of your reservation, head to the location at Calle Urquiza 2439, where you'll be given a bike, a helmet, and a map with the route marked, along with personalized recommendations to help you make the most of the area.

You'll need to return the bike to the same meeting point. If you pick it up first thing in the morning, you'll have up to 8 hours to explore the route at your own pace.

During that time, you'll follow a carefully designed circuit that combines vineyards, wineries, and spots to sample olive oil, enjoying one of Mendoza's most traditional wine regions at your own pace—just 15 kilometers from downtown.

Maipú is considered the cradle of Mendoza wine and one of Argentina's most important wine tourism destinations. Its practically flat roads make it easy to explore the area by bike.

At the end of the tour, you'll have the chance to enjoy local Malbec wine in a relaxed atmosphere alongside the other travelers.

Schedule Info

You can pick up your bike between 10 am and 2:30 pm, and you can enjoy the service until 6 pm. Collections after 2:30 pm are not permitted. Returns after 6 pm are also not permitted.

Important Info

  • Your tour includes these stops, which we've selected so you can make the most of the Maipú Wine Route: Bodega Domiciano, Bodega La Rural & Museo del Vino, Bodega Tempus Alba, Bodega Viña El Cerno, Bodega Mevi, Bodega Alandes, Bodega Trapichey, Entre Olivos, La Melesca, and Casa de Campo. These are the only stops on the tour, designed so you can enjoy them at your own pace and safely without having to figure out the route on the fly.
  • Some wineries require advance reservations. We recommend booking in advance, especially on weekends and during peak season. We recommend telling us in advance to organize the visit correctly.
  • The tour can be tailored to the time available and the interests of each traveler.
  • When you return the bike, you’ll be able to enjoy unlimited glasses of local Malbec wine.
