San Sebastian is a unique, beautiful corner of northern Spain. The most entertaining and comfortable way to see it is from a train carriage. You'll discover why everyone falls in love with this city and its famous Concha beach.
San Sebastian Tourist Train
The tourist train of San Sebastian begins its journey in the heart of the city, on the Paseo de Salamanca avenue, at one end of the Kursaal Bridge. From this point, you will enjoy brilliant views of the Cantabrian Sea and the Urumea River, before we depart towards the Old Town.
Along the journey, you will witness some of the landmarks and places that make this Basque city a favorite tourist destination. We will pass along the Bay of La Concha, which is regarded as one of the most beautiful urban beaches in the world. We will also see the Island of Santa Clara, another of the picture postcard landmarks of the capital of the Guipuzcoa province.
From the carriages, we will also see the famous Mount Urgull, from where spectacular views of Donostia can be obtained. We then pass the Miramar Palace, a British-style building that was the summer residence of the Spanish Royal Family in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. We continue into the city center, where we pass the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd, the Victoria Eugenia Theatre and along the picturesque streets before returning to the starting point.
Every passenger on this two-car train will have access to a multilanguage audioguide with entertaining descriptions of the landmarks that you can see along the route.
